Young people of today
They have no idea at all, cross country. Why when I was a senior we used to run 16ks for a club CC run. none of this pussy footing around the cricket pitches. oh no through cow paddocks and gorse bushes. And fences, fences shoulder height to hurdle with bulls on the other side.
Half Marathons had'nt even been invented. And multi sports , Phhhaaa. we had no cars and rode our single speed bikes 30 miles ( Phhaawf to Ks) just to meet the boys in Swanson for our long run over the Waitaks. And nancy boys in rubber suits, way back when the Iron man was for Iron men they wer'nt allowed, considered to be bouyancy aids. Bouyancy aids , Phhhaaaaa , more like water wings, huh, and we swum butterfly stroke all the way and no goggles
And the radio is useless, has'nt been any decent music since Rick Wakemans band broke up.
As for the Tv, well there must be a conspiracy, Judys gone and still just a slip of a girl, and when, oh when are they going to show Grumpy Old Men.
I tell you its all a conspiracy
On and on and on on and on and on.
